Spring Musical Theatre Workshop

Come sing, dance, and act with Ms. Rebecca and Mr. Danny in this amazing ten-week workshop. Experience all things Broadway while making new friends and learning to perform with confidence.

This class is for students in 1st - 6th grade!

Class starts the week of 3/3

 

Rehearsal Schedule:

Tuesdays 6:30pm - 8:00pm

Performance:

Friday, May 17 @ 7 PM - BCC Auditorium

Performers call time @ 6:00 pm

 

Tuition: $425

Danny Sims is an Actor and Teaching Artist from New Jersey having performed with various TYA tours (Theatre for Young Audiences) and at regional houses throughout the Metropolitan area. A Montclair State University graduate, he has performed with The Growing Stage, The Children’s Theatre of New Jersey in such shows as “The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical”, “Pinkalicious” and “Goosebumps”. As well as at Centenary Stage Company in their summer productions of “Rent” and “Rock of Ages”. A member of Actor’s Equity Association and a year round company member of Pushcart Players, the Emmy nominated professional children’s touring company, he has spent a majority of his life performing on different stages throughout the New Jersey and New York areas. Danny grew up spending summers at Plays in the Park and winters in their annual production of “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” at The State Theater. While not on stage, Danny enjoys time behind the table as a board member for The Actors Studio of New Jersey and as a creative at Michael Anthony Theatrical where he helps oversee all areas of the creative process. He loves to share his passion and the love of Theatre to people of all ages!

Rebecca Monk has been teaching for the past 12 years, and opened Noteworthy with her husband Pat 5 years ago. She holds a BFA from Montclair State University.

 

Her students range from beginners to working professionals, all with the goal of finding joy through singing!

 

Rebecca also has a successful performing career which has taken her all around the country, to Off Broadway and even on tour. Some of her favorite performances include Sibella in “A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder”,  Alice in “Bright Star” and Mother in “Ragtime the Musical”.

 

You can also see her in “Beehive the Musical” at Hunterdon Hills Playhouse this spring.

 

Rebecca is also on the creative board of The Actors Studio of New Jersey, an amazing up and coming theatre in NJ.
